Placing a surebet

Pick a surebet and the stakes panel opens: everything you need to place both legs without a calculator.

Step by step

1. Check it's confirmed. The verification clock should read seconds, not "Re-checking".
2. Set your total stake at the top of the panel (or in the top bar, for every surebet).
3. Pick a rounding. Exact, or round each stake to a whole unit. The panel shows what comes back either way, and at worst, after rounding.
4. Open the first book with its Open button (or press 1), find the market and the line, and place the stake shown. Copy this stake puts the exact number on your clipboard.
5. Open the second book (2) and do the same, straight away.
6. Check both slips: same event, same market, same period, same line, the stakes you meant.

A book that won't take the full stake

If a book only accepts up to a certain amount, use Set this book's max on that leg. The panel scales the whole surebet down to it, so every outcome stays covered. Clear it to remove the maximum. Book maximums last for your session.

Choosing another pair of books

If the surebet has alternatives, the panel lets you switch to another pair of books for the same bet: handy when you have no account at one of them, or it limited you.

When it goes while you're placing it

The panel tells you:

• Gone at (time): a price moved or a book pulled the line.
• We lost contact with (book): we couldn't re-check it for over a minute.
• Re-checking (book): our data is late; it may still stand.

Warnings in the panel

• (Book) prices this far from the other books: it may be an error there and could be voided.
• Few books quote this market: prices can move fast.
